The creators!
Avery
Hi! I'm Avery! I have been doing Girl Scouts since Kindergarten! I like reading and writing, and am taking 4 honors classes this year! I like babysitting and baking, and I've also been involved in several different after school activities throughout the years! I really hope this project can make an impact on our community! I am so happy to contribute to this amazing project and hope you enjoy!
Celine
Hello! I'm Celine, and I have been a Girl Scout for the past nine years. People most likely describe me as a kind, creative, musical, and hard-working person. I'm also an American Heart Assocation Ambassador, babysitter, someone that loves to be involved in different clubs my school provides and loves to participate in different theater productions. I am glad to be a part of this project to inform people about these parks and encourage others to show them more love.
Katie
Hi! I'm Katie, I would describe myself as an outdoorsy person, I love to hike, fish and climb! You'll most likely to find me in the middle of the woods:) I took on this project because I would like to make a lasting impact on my community. I am involved in a variety of clubs in the school system, to make the school environment a better place. I hope that this website will help Bethel families get to know about Bethel's outdoor wonders!
Madeleine
Hi! I'm Madeleine, and I've been doing Girl Scouts since I was in Kindergarten, and I hope to make an impact with the work I have done on it. I've been dancing since I was two, and I am currently on the team at my local studio. I'm doing this project because I would like to educate the people of Bethel about our parks and help make our community even better! I hope everyone who uses this site finds it to be helpful and clear, and that it increases utilization of the parks!
We are part of the Bethel Girl Scout Troop 50002! We have created this website for our Silver Award Project that we have worked on over the course of 2021 and 2022. We are a group of four, Celine, Katie, Avery and Madeleine! We hope to have a lasting positive impact on our community with our work.
Our Goals:
To complete this award, the four of us had to find a problem within our local community. We were very interested in the parks of Bethel and how much use they receive. We worked out a few different ideas on how to enhance the use and appreciation of the parks, and we decided on building a website. We created a page to educate the public on what Bethel parks have to offer! With this project, we hope to raise awareness on what our local parks can offer besides the physical aspects of them. We would love for the parks in Bethel to be put to full use and be appreciated for the great town of Bethel! In addition to this we hope to educate the citizens of Bethel on the work Bethel Parks & Recreation have done for our town!
Why our project is important:
Bethel Parks and Rec have added things to our local parks over the course of a few years that most of us were unaware about! Personally, prior to starting the Silver Award project, the four of us were unaware of some of the things or parks had to offer. We hope that educating the public about our amazing parks will lead to more use of them! All of the parks are unique and have a lot to offer. We hope that this website will show just how great the parks are and encourage you to visit them.
About the Project:
The Girl Scouts Silver Award is the highest award for Cadettes. The four of us in the troop chose to team up and do ours together! The goal of the Silver Award is to make a difference on your community, which we hope we will accomplish with this page.
